Celebrating team workAntisocial Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week: Case Study
We tackle antisocial behaviour head on. Read one of our case studies here
We’d like to remind our customers that it’s important to declare Somerset Council (formally known as Sedgemoor District Council) as your landlord on your Universal Credit claim, rather than Homes in Somerset or our old name, Homes in Sedgemoor.
We’re here to help manage your homes on behalf of Somerset Council, but all rent and service charges are paid to Somerset Council.
It is important this information is correct on your account as incorrect declarations can cause significant issues with claims, which create delays in payments, including our customers migrating across to Universal Credit from older benefits.
It is also important to note that rent is charged weekly, and that there are two rent-free weeks per year. All rent and service charges must be declared in your Universal Credit claim.
If you require help with the housing element of your Universal Credit claim, please contact our Income Team via the contact us page. Our team can provide you with a letter containing all the necessary information or you may speak directly to your Income Officer.
