Homes in Somerset Remembers

Homes in Somerset Retrofit coordinator James, joined with Ellie Cliff of Bell Group, to present the Bitham Walk Community Hub with four recycled laptops, supporting the Digital Inclusion Network in Woolavington.
John Farquhar-Atkins from Spark Somerset, together with Digital Champions Maggie Harris, Hub Volunteer Lynne Bird, and Village Agent Daniel Bell, all took part in the presentation, which will help residents stay connected and access online services.
Supporting the initiative was Chris Verrinder of Dimplex, and Crispin Woodburn, and Emma Scobie, also of Bell Group.
Opportunities to gain broader knowledge through technology can boost digital confidence for people in rural communities, and make a real difference to their lives. Something we are delighted to be able to support.
Along with the presentation, residents enjoyed high tea, two games of prize bingo, and a chance to come together as a community.
