Back in November around 80 residents and guests joined us for our annual Christmas tree-lighting at the Gibb House Extra Care scheme in Hamp, Bridgwater.
It was a wonderful way to kick off the festive season, in an event that is growing in popularity year after year.
The evening began with a lovely performance by the Hamp School Choir, whose carols set a joyful tone. Their singing was a highlight for many and created Christmas magic.
This year’s event was made possible thanks to the support of our partners.
Jade, our Community Enabler, worked closely with our contractor MD, who generously donated the Christmas tree.
We also extend our thanks to Wired Weston, which kindly supplied and installed the outdoor electricals for the lights. Their contributions helped make the evening shine.
Guests gathered to enjoy hot chocolate and sweet treats from Daisy Fresh Kitchen, a local catering van that added a cosy touch to the chilly evening.
One resident told us: “What a lovely community event. It was wonderful to hear the children singing and getting us into the Christmas spirit. The hot chocolate and sweet treats were delicious. Thank you, Homes in Somerset, for an enjoyable evening.”
