A weekend celebrating Somerset is taking place in honour of Somerset Day (May 11th), over Saturday and Sunday.
Across the county, including in Bridgwater, Taunton and Minehead, community events are being held.
The Youth Adventure Trust is holding a Somerset Cycle on Saturday 9th May, from Bridgwater College, there’s a Party in the Park in Minehead, organised by the town council, and The Somerset Song Prize is being held over the weekend in Taunton.
