Gold standard support for tenants affected by domestic abuse

The continued commitment by Homes in Somerset to support tenants affected by domestic abuse has been recognised by its retention of a Gold DAHA Accreditation.

The retention of Gold accreditation reflects the care, professionalism and commitment shown by colleagues across Homes in Somerset. Most importantly, it demonstrates that we continue to provide a service where customers can feel heard, supported and safe when they need us most.

Housing Manager Sarah, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and one that belongs to colleagues across the organisation. Supporting people experiencing domestic abuse is not the responsibility of one team alone. It relies on colleagues working together every day to identify concerns, listen, respond compassionately, and take action to help keep people safe.

“While a special thank you must go to those who have led and coordinated this work, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to this success. Whether you have supported a customer directly, made a safeguarding referral, worked with partner agencies, attended training, shared your expertise, or simply taken the time to ask the right questions and offer support, you have played a part in achieving this recognition.

“Thank you for everything you do and for the difference you make every day.”
