It reviews key components such as the fuse board (also known as the consumer unit), protective bonding, lighting, switches and sockets. Its purpose is to confirm, as far as possible, whether the installation is safe and suitable for continued use.
Completing regular EICRs helps us identify and address potential hazards before they become serious issues. Allowing access for these inspections is important in helping to keep you and your family safe in your home.
These inspections are carried out by qualified electricians. All contractors visiting your home to complete an EICR will carry identification.
