The Minehead development at Seaward Way is up for an award
A community day took place thanks to a Town Council Ward Initiative Scheme, with Cllr Rob Isaacs spearheading the event, together with the North Taunton Development Group.
Wellspring Community Engagement Day was attended by Homes in Somerset’s Jane Windebank, Luke Drew and Alex Williams, to share details of the NorthTaunton Woolaway Project, to educate children about the dangers of construction sites, and to help inspire new construction workers of the future.
The Community Day was aimed at primary school age children and included a bouncy castle, go-karting, face painting, circus skills, promoting healthy eating, advertising help and activities available for families, to name just a few. It was a great, fun day, and all the families seemed to be having a great time. The Development Team were proud to be part of this community
Ali Cottey, Activity and Wellbeing Manager, said: “Thank you for your support at the North Taunton Fun Day yesterday – it was very much appreciated.
“We hope you had an enjoyable time and had the opportunity to connect with many residents. We were very pleased to welcome 324 attendees, in addition to all those who helped make the event a success – a fantastic turnout! and one that we hope we can do again in the future.
“Thank you again for being part of the day.”
