A housing development bringing 54 zero carbon neutral council homes to Minehead has been shortlisted for a property award.
The Seaward Way development brings the first new council houses to Minehead in 40 years. The completion of the construction of the new homes is being managed by Homes in Somerset on behalf of Somerset Council. The development is funded from the Housing Revenue Account and provides a mix 54 houses and flats for affordable rent, and has been shortlisted for Michelmores Property Awards 2025.
All the homes will be zero carbon, to ensure low energy bills for customers. Twenty-one homes have already been completed and the remaining 33 should be completed by the end of June.
