Penlea House

Thirty social housing apartments are being built on Rhode Lane, Bridgwater, following a deal between Sedgemoor District Council and contractors Classic Builders.

Seaward Way

Net zero carbon homes, and the first council homes to come to Minehead in 40, the Rainbow Way/Seaward Way Development was nominated for an award for its sustainability credentials.

North Taunton Woolaway Project

The North Taunton Woolaway Project commenced back in 2017, overseen by Somerset Council. The management of the development is now with Homes in Somerset and the proposed scheme will provide between 227 and 230 new build homes, refurbishing 27 existing council homes through a phased approach.

Sydenham Garages

The project looked to identify garages that were being underused and found sites including two off Avalon Road, one of Saxon Green, and one off Chamberlin Avenue, where existing garages could be demolished and replaced with 14 highly efficient homes.

Bigwood Estate

Affordable, sustainable and multi-functional homes that will support adults with learning disabilities, families and individuals across Bridgwater were officially opened today last month, by Leader of Somerset Council Bill Revans.
Cllr Revans was joined by fellow councillors, HiS staff and board members to cut the ribbon for the official opening of the £4.3 million development at the old Bigwood and Staple Printworks site.

Oxford Inn

Two zero carbon houses and six flats, the £2.3million scheme is being delivered by Plymouth-based contractor Classic Builders, and is hoped to be completed around the end of the year.

The site was occupied by a vacant public house (The Oxford Inn) which was owned by the HRA
 
All the homes will be let as general needs housing at affordable rent.
They will be built to very high levels of building insulation, fabric performance and air tightness, energy efficient heating, hot water and ventilation systems and the provision of solar photovoltaic panels.

Cricketers Farm

This £3 million contract is to provide affordable rental housing with development company Strongvox Homes for 16 new homes on land at Cricketers in Nether Stowey.

Chichester Close Communal Hall Refurb

Funding from Homes in Somerset and Somerset Council allowed for the Communal Hall at Chichester Close to be completely transformed into a hub where the community can come together.
