Following the news that customers in the UK will see energy bills increase from October, we want to reassure our customers that there are ways you can reduce your consumption, and in turn save money.
Ester, our income officer at Homes in Somerset, has a whole list of great tips for customers with practical ways to save energy, including turning the washing machine temperature down, and rolling up towels to use as draft excluders. Read Ester’s full checklist here.
We’re also working to help our customers make the most out of their technology and check they are on the best energy tariffs, having commissioned Rand to trial an Energy Advice service.
We are continuing this service as part of our satisfaction surveys for our customers who have undergone retrofitting, to provide extra support, and this is available for customers that require help with reducing bills
For customers who wish to get independent advice on how to safe money and save energy, we are still happy to work alongside Burnham and Weston Energy, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping communities across Somerset and North Somerset, offering free, impartial home energy advice to help households stay warm, cut carbon, and save money.
